The Rush!

The Easter rush is over and many of the cars I was working on are done and gone.... So why am I feeling so rushed all the time still? I believe that we (I) put this on ourselves. I take on to much to fast and do it the name of helping others and service to the Lord, however.... I am coming to the understanding that Jesus wants us to help others yes! But it is more glorifying to Him when we can do it at a pace that we can actually maintain! So my prayer for myself and for those who tend to overcommit like I do is this: Lord, help me to follow your example and work at a pace that is realistic... to get away to that quiet place where it is just You and me so that I may here Your still small voice and obey You in all aspects of my life! Help me to do ALL things as unto You! Including and especially my planning!! I love You my Savior! In Your name... Amen!

Sibling Love

I love how much all 4 of my kids get along! Even though there is some age difference in them. And they are all very different and have different interests. Kirstie - 17, Kyle - 15 (tomorrow), Joshua - 11 and Jaxon - 1. They all love each other so much and do their very best to put each other first.
I think this is how we as followers of Christ are meant to live together! Despite our differences we should be doing our best to put others ahead of ourselves for the sake of our love for Christ and His love and sacrifice for us! We should look out for each other the way my 3 older kids look out for Jaxon making sure he does not get hurt because he does not know his limits yet. The way they look our for each other simply because they love each other and they don't want to see any harm come to there siblings. We should be building one another up rather than tearing each other down. We should do a whole lot more celebrating each others wins rather than being jealous or envious because someone got something we think we deserve!

Lord help us to love one another the way You love us.... as your children! Help us to treat each other as a loving sibling in the family of God rather than as an enemy that we are competing with for a win. In Jesus mighty name… Amen!

In love…

The Word

Gods Word is so important in our daily lives! We need to be in it every day and stay in prayer constantly in order to get direction for our lives! God wants time with you everyday just as your parents had time with you everyday when you were a child to teach you and help you grow! Spend some time with God today!!
